If you need transport for a community group outing or any other community event, we can help. Rotherham Community Transport offers affordable, accessible transport for community groups and voluntary organisations within the Rotherham area who need help with transport for their members to enable them to take part in group activities.
All kinds of groups can register to use our minibuses, although our buses are not available for private hire or commercial purposes.
We have a range of minibuses ranging from 8 to 16 seats (plus driver) all of which have access for people with disabilities. They can be used to take members to meetings, on day trips, other social events, a day out in the Countryside or even further afield. All vehicles are fitted with seatbelts and wheelchair restraints, child seats are also available.
Where possible RCT expects groups to nominate a volunteer driver from within their group, we place a high priority on safety and we insist that all volunteer drivers of our vehicles have undertaken the MiDAS Assessment. Alternatively we can try to find a volunteer to drive for your group, (you will be asked to pay their expenses).
Remember your organisation needs to register with RCT by completing a registration and declaration form before being allowed to use our vehicles.
Please read the following notes carefully:
